Dr. Roland Tolliver
Personal Information
Dr. Tolliver is originally from Detroit, Michigan. He moved to Chicago to attend podiatry school after college and eventually found his way out to Northwest Illinois in 1990. He and his wife have five children, four daughters and one son. Dr. Tolliver has been an active member of the Freeport community through volunteer work, foot screenings, speaking, and writing. He was a recipient of the Stephenson County “Quality of Life” Award in 2003. His column, “For the Love of Community” can be read every Thursday in The Journal-Standard’s Pulse section. He specializes in reconstructive foot surgery; diabetic foot care, including wound care; in addition to trauma work and sports medicine. He has owned and operated Freeport Podiatry Services, LLC since 1990.

Dr. Douglas Mason
Personal Information
Dr. Mason grew up in northern New Jersey. He attended and graduated from Purdue University before attending the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He was in private practice in Indiana after he completed his residency before moving to northwest Illinois in 1994. He and his wife have four children, three sons and a daughter. He has been the Freeport High School diving coach for the boys’ and girls’ swim teams since his first year in practice here. He has coached multiple state qualifiers over the years. He is also a staff member at Rockford Business College where he is a Professor teaching in the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program. He teaches Anatomy, Biology, Pharmacology, and Medical Office procedures. He has special interests in general foot surgery, diabetic foot care, and wound management.
